When it comes to female MCs the rap game is going to have to acknowledge Ashanti Major. Her work ethic is second to none whether it’s, driving across multiple states on her own multi-state tour which she self-funded and booked herself. Or her, being her own stylist, and getting features from other notable female MCs like the Bay Area’s Kamaiyah on “Mobbin‘” which you can hear on her new album “California Heat 2” below. This new single “Wats Craccin‘” was one of the standouts from the project and quickly rose to the top of the Apple Music charts at the 8th spot and was held there for over a week.
It’s safe to say Ashanti Major has the complete package. She has proven rap skills, the look, and the grind to match it all. It’s not easy being an independent artist the respect that is due to come her way has been earned. Check out the new visual, song is heat.
