As a West Coast Hip Hop head and avid gaming enthusiast, I was happy to open my Instagram timeline today to a post by Lauren London, Nipsey’s widow, announcing The Marathon Clothing coming to NBA2K!

If you have been living under a gaming rock for the last 20 years, NBA2K has been the premiere basketball video game series from the publisher of the same name. This year, NBA2K honored another fallen Los Angeles legend, Kobe Bryant, with it’s Kobe Forever edition, available now for pre-order for $99.99. It releases tomorrow September 4th!

For years they have been blurring and blending the line between real life fashion and virtual avatar building. Games like NBA2K have been offering shoes, clothes and custom outfits for years now. It’s exciting to see some of our favorite street brands coming to our favorite video games.
