Snoopy Bad Azz is officially part of The Dogg Pound

August 5th, 2022 on Instagram. Snoop Dogg, Kurupt, and Roscoe all confirmed that Compton rapper Snoopy Bad Azz has been officially welcomed to The Dogg Pound.
This marks a pivotal moment in West Coast Hip Hop. Snoopy Bad Azz being a Compton Piru, is the 1st artist from the right side, to be part of The Dogg Pound as an artist. I spoke with Snoopy Bad Azz about the recent news.

”This is something I have envisioned for myself sense I was a youngsta. I’m excited to have the opportunity to work with these legends, that built what I’m standing on today. Being part of The Dogg Pound for me, means a lot. West Coast Hip Hop is on the way to regaining its dominance and I’m going to have an impact on that.”

This addition also makes a unity statement. Crips and Bloods working together. Which has been done before with the “Bangin’ on Wax” series of albums that were initiated by the late Red Rum, and Tweety Bird Loc. The series of critically acclaimed albums would go on to have a global impact and influence the world, and fashion in the mainstream acceptance of what would later be called “gangsta rap” by the media. For most on the West Coast it was just authentic rap. Music that spoke about our lifestyle on the streets of Los Angeles and it’s surrounding cities.

Confirming via Instagram with Snoopy Bad Azz, that a record will be done between the two once Snoop is finished working with Dr. Dre.

From the mainstream side of things Snoop Dogg would arrive on the scene at the right time, his debut album “Doggystyle” debuted #1 on the Billboard charts and would go on to sell over 4 Million copies. And is highly regarded as an album that changed music and moved Hip Hop forward. For over three decades he has either been the creator or been apart of the creation of music that painted the sound track for the west coast and Hip Hop globally.

This marks a change in WestCoast hip hop and the culture on the coast. Something that a lot have been waiting to see. Snoopy Bad Azz has been building a solid brand that stands on its own. Establishing himself as fixture to be respected in the rap game wasn’t an easy road. But, he here! Snoopy Bad Azz isn’t just a rapper. He is a business man with a vision not only for himself but for his community. Red and Blue have always made green now it’s time to be fully realized on a world stage.
