Hip-Hop at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards

Last night, the 64th Annual Grammy Awards took place in Las Vegas. After first being delayed due to the Omicron variant, the ceremony finally went down yesterday at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, with Trevor Noah serving as host. 

Highlights from the show included a recorded appearance from the Ukrainian president, a medley from legendary rapper Nas, Joni Mitchell introducing Brandi Carlile, and Doja Cat’s emotional moment accepting a Grammy for her collaboration with SZA, “Kiss Me More.”

Major winners in the Hip-Hop categories were:

“Family Ties” Baby Keem featuring Kendrick Lamar (Best Rap Performance)

“Hurricane” Kanye West featuring the Weeknd and Lil Baby (Best Melodic Rap Performance)

“Jail” Kanye West featuring Jay-Z (Best Rap Song)

Call Me if You Get Lost  Tyler, the Creator (Best Rap Album)
