And while the song did premiere in mid-December, Ice just recently put the lyric video on YouTube to make sure it reaches as many people as possible. “Follow the Leader” finds him, like his mentor Iceberg Slim, speaking uncompromising truths about struggle and the significance of transitioning out of hustling. Atop a dope beat courtesy of MonstaBeats (@monstabeatzz) and accompanied by a lyric video from @hiphopizlyfe, Ice proves again that he is an O.G. of this thing called Hip-Hop and that he hasn’t lost a single step in the trail he blazed that countless emcees are still following to this day. Respect due to one of the greatest to ever do it.
