Xzibit Addresses Cannabis Brand Controversy

First launched in 2020, Xzibit’s cannabis brand, Napalm, is facing controversy as of late. Proprietors reportedly pulled it from their Los Angeles dispensary because some interpreted the namesake as racist. TMZ first reported that the urging of a few community members had gotten the product pulled from the dispensary entirely because of actual napalm’s use, particularly during the Vietnam War. However, X to the Z took to social media to clarify. The original TMZ story is “misleading at best,” he said. “To be clear, one dispensary took our products off of their ‘digital shelf,’ which means they probably still have it on their dispensary shelf.” He also defended the name. “Claiming the word ‘Napalm’ is racist is a reach that is in sharp contrast to my integrity, my character, and my track record of being a positive part of society, even with my creative choices as a hip hop artist.”
