Pioneering West Coast producer Chris “The Glove” Taylor has worked with and produced for some of the most high-profile and iconic artists in music like Ice-T, Dr. Dre, Nas, Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, LL Cool J, and Xzibit to name a few.

His early work on the classic Breakin’ movie and soundtrack with the song “Reckless” with Ice-T was a major game changer, along with his iconic work on albums like The Chronic, Doggystyle, 2001, The Firm, and even his collaboration with pop-culture parody musician “Weird” Al Yankovic on the 1985 Dare To Be Stupid album.

Taylor has also served as Music Coordinator, Programmer, and Assistant Composer for the series’ American Soul, Played By Fame, Tiny & Toya, The Parkers, Frankie & Neffie, and Monica‘s Still Standing, with song placements on N.C.I.S. Los Angeles, Empire, The Chi, The Neighborhood, America’s Next Top Model, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Lost, and King Of Queens to name a few.

Davion Farris Releases “Moved” EP Via Hillman Grad Records/Def Jam Recordings

Grammy Award-winning and ASCAP Award-winning singer and songwriter Davion Farris raises the curtain on his label debut EP, MOVED, available today via Hillman Grad Records/Def Jam Recordings. The video for the EP’s lead-off track, “Tunnel Vision” premiered earlier this week.

Interest in the 7-song EP’s release gained momentum when the Inglewood, California artist dropped his “Bad Guy” single last month, following up “Sometimes,” (from The Chi season 4 soundtrack), two of his most introspective and heart-wrenching compositions to date.  Both tracks are included on MOVED.

“I want my fans to feel seen, heard, and understood,” Davion recently said of MOVED.  “I want them to know that a strong black man can be vulnerable and that vulnerability helps make him whole.”

Turning to the earlier single, Davion confessed, “Bad Guy is about understanding that pain and heartbreak isn’t exclusive to men or women.  It’s also about learning how to stick by your boundaries, and an honest look at a man being the one in that position of vulnerability (as you’ll often find me).”  The painfully honest video was directed by Boma Iluma and co-stars Destyni Freese of One LA Women Development.

Davion was introduced in the fall of 2021, on Award-winning writer, producer, actor, and creator Lena Waithe’s Hillman Grad Records, in partnership with Def Jam.  Hillman Grad was already off to a strong start in 2021 with the release of soundtracks for the critically-acclaimed documentaries Mr. Soul and The One And Only Dick Gregory.

Davion Farris has previously written with and for artists such as Mary J. Blige, Jill Scott, Tyrese, Trey Songz, SiR, Ginuwine, and more.  For years, he also amassed credits as a songwriter-for-hire of TV originals that were “completely not his sound.”  The turning point came in early 2021, when Davion bet on himself and began sending his music directly to shows instead of forcing himself into music supervisors’ molds.  The move paid off immensely when “Sometimes” and “Make Love” were featured on Showtime’s The Chi.

2FeetBino Connects With Latto For The Release Of “Naked” Via Paradise East Records

Rising Atlanta-based rapper 2FeetBino has endless potential and an effortless flow. Today, he connects with fellow Atlanta rapper Latto for the release of the standout single “Naked” via Paradise East Records. Produced by Bless, 2FeetBino offers a low-key vibe while Latto brings the big energy.

Towards the end of last year, 2FeetBino released his mixtape Cousin Feeter via Paradise East Records. The project includes features from Seddy Hendrinx on “Settle”, Young Nudy on “Can’t Contain” and 4L Quan on “In Da Spot”. Earlier this month, Bino joined forces with Babydrill (fka Cristo4L) on “1G Freestyle,” where the two highlighted their lyricism and intense delivery. He followed up with a music video for “Be The One” where Bino questions if he will ever find the one.

Kent Jamz Drops “All The Smoce” Featuring GoodJoon Via RCA Records

LA-based artist Kent Jamz drops a new smooth single “All The Smoce” featuring GoodJoon via RCA Records.  The single comes out alongside a black and white visual directed by Kalani Kelly. This latest release follows his chill, effortless single “Rollin’ Wit The Homies” featuring Buddy. The song title pays homage to the iconic scene in Clueless and is an ode to Kent’s friend who passed away during the pandemic. Up next, Kent is hitting the road on Buddy’s Superghetto Tour, kicking off in Oakland, CA on June 15^th.

Born in Atlanta, GA, Kent Jamz moved to Los Angeles when he was just six years old and made it his home. As he grew up, music became a natural part of his life and he immersed himself in it fully. Kent was previously a part of the rap group OverDoz. and most recently, released a joint project Janktape Vol. 1 with Buddy in 2020. He’s also written for many artists including Kendrick Lamar, Childish Gambino, Buddy, Terrace Martin, and more.

80 Empire Drops New Single “Business” Via Gladiator Records

80 Empire just dropped their latest single “Business” via Gladiator Records, which will be followed by a music video to the single dropping within the next couple weeks, and is set to star Robert Funaro of The Sopranos and a surprise guest from the hit Italian TV show Gomorrah.

In October of last year, the producers & brothers Adrian Rezza and Lucas Rezza, a/ka/ 80 Empire, dropped their album Anthems & Icons, a 17-track project featuring DMC, Papa J, WC, Kurupt, KRS-One, Kxng Crooked, Grafh, Jomi, and more.
