Sutterhouse Swish Drop TH’ BUGGOUT 2

Every so often one comes across an artist that may be new to one’s ears , but clearly a seasoned pro who is just as unique as can be.

However, every super blue moon one may even come across two of those individuals, in this specific case Sutterhouse Swish and Monk Mandino, with production courtesy of Chris Clarke [Digital Underground, All Eyez On Me].

Bringing a wild, yet refreshingly original – out of the box – cinematically colorful rap circus that draws from everything, both of these rappers are distinct as can be; from vocal inflections and fiery flows, to witty wordplay and vast topics. The sh*t is funny and trill, but also effortless and focused. In the best way possible, it really doesn’t sound like anything that’s been executed before.

This is a stand out, stand alone, masterpiece of creativity from two visionary MC’z from West Los Angeles. The whole album is produced exclusively by Clarke, and pulls sounds from literally everywhere.

Just after hearing a few of these impressive songs; “Nose In The Air,” “Hawaii Bass” or the title track, “It’s Th’ Buggout,” it’s pretty clear and concise that these two dudes succeed in creating their very own world in a way all artists should aspire to do…And that’s no cap!

Eiht makes a point of letting listeners know what their podcast’s intentions are, and just as importantly, are not. Listen to these men; they have a lot of wisdom to offer. Experience and education are powerful tools. Big Steele and MC Eiht have both. Check it out!

“Being able to have that connection with kids through football and being a coach, I got another level of respect because they look at me as MC Eiht the rapper, but I get more respect from being Coach Eiht to them.”

President Trump Pardons Death Row Records Co-Founder

Donald Trump has pardoned Michael “Harry-O” Harris’s prison sentence in his presidency’s twilight. Harris was instrumental in financing Death Row Records in its infancy and reportedly invested 1.5 million dollars. Additionally, he also ran a theater company that gave Denzel Washington his first break as an actor.

Harris was a jailed in 1988 on convictions of cocaine trafficking and attempted murder. His release was not on the schedule until June of 2028. However, thanks mainly to lobbying from, but not limited to, Snoop Dogg, Jared Kushner, and Ivanka Trump, Harris leaves the Lompoc Federal Correctional Institution today a free man.

The campaign to get Harris out started on December 26, 2020, when rapper Snoop Dogg asked for assistance from music producer Weldon Angelos. Angelos, who had just received a pardon from Trump that same month, was eager to assist.

He told The Daily Beast on Sunday, “Snoop brought this case to me, and I brought Alice Johnson on board to help it with me, and she brought it to the West Wing.” Johnson is a criminal justice reform advocate who had her life sentence pardoned by Trump in 2018.

“The president knows how much this case means to me,” she said to The Daily Beast. “In reviewing Michael Harris’ case, his story, and what he’s gone through, this is such an unfair case… He should have been home a decade ago.”

Harris’ attorney, Mr. Bruce Zucker, informed Dailymail.com that Harris’ sentence was “unduly harsh.” He continued by stating, “It occurred during the 1980s, at a time when then Presidents Ronald Regan and George H.W. Bush authorized legislation that imposed draconian penalties for drug offenses, which primarily and adversely affected young African American men living in the inner-city, such as Mr. Harris.”

Plus, Mr. Zucker shared that Harris spent 23 years in state prison on a first-degree attempted murder conviction until the alleged victim of his crime recanted. However, instead of being released, he was transferred to federal prison and started serving a 235-month sentence for drug crimes. And just last year, when there was an outbreak of the coronavirus at Lompoc prison, Harris’ legal team attempted to get him released because of an autoimmune disease, which put him at significant risk. The request, though, was denied.

In 2019, Harris told the press, “Over 30 years ago, I was part of the problem. However, over the years, I have repeatedly proven myself to be part of the solution. It’s about returning to society with my newfound vision, talents, and insights [and] giving back to the communities where my help is so desperately needed.”

E-A-Ski, in a wide-ranging interview with Choke No Joke on the My Story From My Mouth personal autobiography series, discusses his relationship with former Priority Records CEO Bryan Turner, facilitating Master P‘s distribution deal for No Limit Records, and details what happened between him and Dreamworks Records, the music label founded by David GeffenSteven Spielberg and Jeffrey Katzenberg. Since beginning his career producing “Young Nigga”, “187 Pure”, and “East Bay Gangster (Reggae)” for Spice 1’s 1992 self-titled debut on Jive Records, the Bay area-based producer/rapper continues to help artists and producers by sharing his wisdom and knowledge of the industry. COVID-19 delays the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards

A rep for the show has confirmed to Variety that the Grammy Awards will be postponed until March 14th, 2021 due to corona-virus related concerns.

“After thoughtful conversations with health experts, our host and artists scheduled to appear, we are rescheduling the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards to be broadcast Sunday, March 14, 2021. The deteriorating COVID situation in Los Angeles, with hospital services being overwhelmed, ICUs having reached capacity, and new guidance from state and local governments have all led us to conclude that postponing our show was the right thing to do. Nothing is more important than the health and safety of those in our music community and the hundreds of people who work tirelessly on producing the show.We want to thank all of the talented artists, the staff, our vendors and especially this year’s nominees for their understanding, patience and willingness to work with us as we navigate these unprecedented times.”

Daz Dillinger, Joe Budden, NORE & Royce Da 5’9″ Speak On The Eminem/Snoop Beef

Clubhouse is the latest rage these days where artists can gather and have audio chats. Joe Budden hosted a chat last night with Daz, NORE and Royce Da 5’9″and the foursome discussed the growing rift between Snoop Dogg and Eminem. The conversation is interesting because Daz is Snoop’s cousin and Royce is one of Eminem’s closest friends and collaborators, so the two offer some person insights to the situation. The most interesting revelation came from Daz who feels that the situation started when Snoop and Eminem made “Bitch Please II” for the Marshall Mathers LP and afterwards Snoop wanted Eminem for his own album but Em’s people said no. You can listen to the entire audio here but if you wish to only listen to Daz’s part, then go to the 7:29 mark. Ultimately, all of the artists feel that a scenario where diss songs go back and forth between Snoop and Em would be bad for hip-hop.

Ray Smith of BeApp Speaks with Chad Kiser

“How do you capture all the energy on a live Hip-Hop stage when someone’s performing and bring that down onto someone’s computer or into someone’s mobile phone?” It’s a question Ray Smith asks himself in his conversation with Chad Kiser, but I’m sure it isn’t the first time he has pondered that. And it probably won’t be the last. Having streamed over 10,000 music events, Ray has always been on the cutting-edge of live streaming technology and is a true pioneer in the field who shows no signs of slowing down. He is preparing to launch new features on his BeApp, an application that allows fans to tune into live streaming shows and, therefore, get a full concert experience from anywhere in the world.

After graduating cum laude from the University of Southern California in the late 90s, Ray moved to Silicon Valley to do strategy management consulting. However, after seeing the internet make things so accessible in the late early ’00s, his curiosity peaked about maximizing what there was to share.

“While listening to music that I would download, I’d listen to live music performances. And there’s something about a live music recording; you hear other things,” Smith says. “How can we get a differentiated music listening experience? Not just listening to audio performances or audio sets, how can we get the video component as well?”

And with that, Smith moved to London in 2006 and started his first company, BE-AT.TV in 2008. It essentially allowed people to be at music festivals as a result of streaming them. And with 50 – 100 live streams a week, the company kept busy. However, there were still naysayers who failed to see what was on the horizon.

“I remember I went to go see James Barton (founder of Creamfields, an electronic dance music festival) and showing him my laptop with a live stream of the Swedish House Mafia,” Ray recalls. “And he was like, ‘Who’s ever going to watch this stuff?’ It’s funny when you fast-forward like 15 years later. It’s like, ‘Everybody.’ Every single person in the world is stuck looking at their phone and watching video content.”

Just a few months in, after figuring out how to monetize the idea, Smith’s company struck a deal with Nokia, as iPhones were still in their infancy, and in one year saw numbers skyrocket. “Not only are people going to watch this, but I can earn a living doing [it]. So I pretty much just went around, spending most of my time on planes, meeting festival owners, club owners, and artists trying to convince them to let me broadcast their event,” Ray remembers. “My speech was, ‘There are only 2,000 people that can physically fit in this club. With what we’re doing, I can make 2 million people see it through the internet.’ My angle was, ‘I’m going to make you even more famous than you are today.'”

Now, in 2020, in addition to the evolution of technology, we are amid a global pandemic. Streaming has become a lifeline for the live music business. But because many people are so confined, Smith even sees its value beyond just the power of song. “Being able to connect fans with artists and artists with fans and then fans with each other through a socialized platform is what BeApp is all about.”

Things have turned sour recently between icons Eminem and Snoop Dogg as as Eminem had some words for the Doggfather in his song “Zeus” which was a response to Snoop’s Breakfast Club interview that excluded Em from his Top 10 list of rappers. Producer ProHoeZak Gives Sneak Peak Story Of Making New Mt. Westmore Song

Snoop Dogg recently premiered a new Mt. Westmore song during a conversation with Julio G on the west coast DJ’s Instagram Live.

West Coast producer ProHoeZak has followed up on his Instagram page to explain the story behind the funky beat he put together for the west coast supergroup of Too Short, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, E-40 to bust to.

“See, I was in the Mothership with uncle George [Clinton], and we was flying over Atlantis. I looked in the water and saw that Snoop, E-40, Ice Cube, and Too Short was trying to raise Atlantis to the roof! But they was having problems, they had the player haters calling them old heads and shit. That’s some Sir Noses! We got to get rid of him, I saw that he was in the way. So I said, ‘Uncle George, pass me the bop gun.’ He put it in my hand, I cocked that sucker back, shot them with the Flashlight, and that nigga caught the rhythm of the stroke! And then I blessed them with one of these, cat daddy..”

ProHoeZak played the funky instrumental to the song following the story he shared. Check the the full video below:

The title of the song is still unknown at this time, but stay tuned for more updates as the project nears release!
